I am a sophomore at Appalachian State University studying Interior Design with a minor in Building Sciences and I am the President of the App State Habitat for Humanity Club. I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina and had only lived there until I moved to Boone as a college student. I love exploring and recently I was able to go on a cross-country road trip with my dad from San Diego, California to Boone, North Carolina. I became involved with Habitat for Humanity two years ago when I came to college and joined the App State Habitat Club and fell in love with the organization largely because of the community that you become involved in when you work with Habitat. From the homeowners to the volunteers to the board members and committee members, Habitat for Humanity becomes a second family.
